I came to AAMCO recommended by a friend. Had a great service from James and Richard. What I thought was a transmission/torque converter issue was actually a misfire. They are absolutely honest and instead of charging me high dollars for unecessary work, did a great diagnostics and then execution of job. V8 Explorers are known for painful replacement of spark plugs, but they took the job without issue and did it on time and on budget. I recommend and will return to AAMCO Cumming every time I need automotive service.
Literally the worst experience ive had with a shop... we took our 2008 ford explorer to them for transmission work. They told us originally that i wouldnt go into gear because it was low on fluid. Then came back and told it was a broken over drive band. We paid them 1600$ to fix the band. We got the car back and it broke down on us not even 24 hrs later. They towed it back and told us the shift cable broke and the valve body was bad... we paid them another 500$ to replace the valve body and 100$ to fix the cable. They kept the car for 3 weeks... everytime we were told it was almost ready something else was wrong. We finally got it back yesterday October 24th after it was towed there on October 4th... they left the car with 0 miles to empty... and the check engine light was on... it broke down on us again not even 4 hours after picking it up. Needless to say it wont be going back... We will never use AAMCO again...2500$ down the drain because they decided to guess what the problem was instead of actually finding and fixing the underlying issue! Absolutely horrific experience I advise you to look at other options before going to this shop!!!!
