This is definitely the place to stay in the Atlanta area! It is a beautiful campground in a great location. The owners and employees are friendly and very helpful. I will be staying there every time I'm in the area. Awesome!!!
We stayed here a couple times as my son lives in the area. The first time we stayed where there was sewer hook up right by the office but this last time we stayed by the lake without sewer hook up and I actually enjoyed it better due to the scenery. It is set up for a back in but I wanted to pull in for the view. We had extensions for the electric and had no problems hooking up. Very relaxing at this site. We never had any problems with water pressure or bugs both times we stayed. We are planning a trip north and we will be staying there again. Hopefully we can get another waterfront lot.
This is a pretty little campground, a little out of the way but not hard to find. They provide no facilities such as playgrounds or even washrooms, so campers must be prepared to live self-contained. Highlight of the campground are the Twin Lakes which are teeming with turtles and fish! Campers are permitted to catch and release the fish. I would go back again.
3 week stay with my family. Very quiet spot, set back in the woods. we were placed in the gravel lot which wasn't shaded and got pretty hot in direct sun in august and didn't really have grass area or fire spot- just gravel and picnic table . the lakes are nice, neighbors quiet. drawbacks were no bath houses, laundry, and seems like many of the best wooded sites are taken by long time campers. overall clean, quiet, accessible to food and shopping.
I just stayed at this campground for a week. My 2 problems with this campground are. The owner did not tell me they have high water pressure. I hooked everything up and I left the site to go visit family. When I returned later that evening I found water leaking out from under my kitchen cabinets. Causing water damage. My camper is new a 2016 and I have used it 40 times over the last year that I have owned it. I never had water leak out until I stayed at this campground. My other issue is they have Roaches I noticed a couple in my camper. Then when I took up the jacks and picked the wood up the day I was checking out there were so many under the wood. Then I noticed everything else I had outside had roaches on it. I even just found 4 more roaches today on my bike rack that I was just about to put back in my basement. Yuck!!!!! After I told the owners of my 2 problems they told me I was the first to complain about them. So I am just posting this as a warning for other campers since they will most definitely not tell you about these problems. I will never stay at this campground again. Update 9-18-17 I am still finding roaches in my camper and in my house now I never had roaches until I stayed at twin lakes. So aggravated by this!!! I wish I never stayed at this campground!!! They should be paying my exterminating bill!!!!!!!!!!
