Great camping spot! The bathrooms are ok, not the best but definitely not the worse that I have used at a campsite. New management are super nice and helpful and if course you can't beat camping at the lake
Very nice and quiet campground. It is set up a little oddly, and is not really scaled for large fifth wheels. There are no sewer hookups, so that is something to consider. The dump station is a tad difficult to get into with fifth wheels ( ours is 38').
One thing though, it would have been really nice if the sites around and including 44 and 45 had access to drive cars down to them. It was quite a long trek to the bathroom for some of the people in our group.
There is a loop around the lake which is paved, but you cannot drive on it any longer. It is for tent camping, but you'll need to walk your gear in.
Part of the campground was under construction while we were there, so the dumpster is by the boat ramp.
This is an Army Corps of Engineers campground, so the usual rules about firearms and fireworks apply.
Ok this place is convenient, has accommodations and beautiful. But don't expect a ranger to be here after hours. Trying to sleep right now while a huge group is singing and chanting and preaching. This is awful! Literally shouting and clapping. Called ranger multiple times and no answer. No enforcement at all. This is not the place to enjoy nature or have a peaceful outing with family
Very clean, well kept campground. Loved getting to spend the night here, and wanted to stay for many more days! Loved it.
The landscape here is different than what I'm use to while camping. It's very hilly here at the foot hills of the North ga mountains. It's nice and clean. Bathrooms we're cleaned everyday while I was here. Friendly and helpful staff. Spectacular water views for sites that have it. There is one boat ramp and a loading dock. You have to go down steps to the beach.
